McChicken

I’m no genius and I’m sure this has been posted before but thought I’d share as a refresher. My son (almost 11) is a McChicken FANATIC ok, there’s no exaggeration. So I came up with a plan…. Homemade McChickens. Yes, relatively cheap when bought, unhealthy, and probably frowned upon but how do you tell the kid no? You don’t and make it at home. Bigger, better quality time, and more filling.

Stuff from our local Winco in Olympia, WA

Bag of Banquet Chicken Patties- $5.97

Winco brand buns- $3.97

Shredded Lettuce- $2.97

Mayo on hand

He sat at the table and said “Bre, these taste exactly like a McChicken. Do you have the McDonalds recipe?!? Only difference is they’re bigger!! ” I said……. “Maybe I do.”

I spruced mine up with a slice of cheese and some ketchup to make Fancy Sauce. SO GOOD.

Now did I add too much mayo to my lovely daughter’s (almost 12) cheeseburger? Sure did, she she still said it was pretty darn good.

11/10 for me on the Friday night.
