Take oats, cocoa and bananas, make a wonderful dessert without sugar and without milk

Ingredients

Before we dive into preparation, make sure you have all the ingredients on hand. Here is the list of what you will need:

  • ¼ kg of oats
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • A bar of dark chocolate (or unsweetened milk chocolate)
  • A large handful of your favorite nuts
  • 3-4 tablespoons of cocoa
  • Optionally: gingerbread with spices or cinnamon
  • Skyr (and/or green banana)

Preparation method

Let’s start preparing this delicious dessert without sugar or milk!

Step 1: Toast the oats

To start, place the rolled oats in a dry pan and toast for a few minutes. This will improve the flavor and texture of the oats in the dessert

Step 2: Prepare the base

Peel and cut the ripe bananas. Then, put them in a blender and blend until you obtain a smooth puree. Place the mashed banana on a large plate and mix it with the cocoa and the chosen spices. Add the toasted oat flakes to the mixture and stir well.

The mixture should be dry and firm, ready to form the base of your dessert.

Step 3: Assemble the dessert

Divide the mixture into two equal parts. Grease the bottom of a round baking tray and place the first half of the mixture on the base, pressing it firmly. Then, place slices of banana or yogurt on top and pour the rest of the mixture on top, kneading it so that it adheres well.
