  1. Season and Coat the Cod:
  • Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  • Lightly dredge each fillet in the flour, shaking off any excess.
  1. Cook the Cod:
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the cod fillets to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C). Remove the fillets from the skillet and set aside.
  1. Prepare the Lemon Butter Sauce:
  • In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
  • Stir in the chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  1. Serve:
  • Pour the lemon butter sauce over the cooked cod fillets.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!
