Heart Shaped Blueberry Danish

MAKE THE CHEESE FILLING
1. To make the cheese filling, combine softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract. Set aside in the fridge.
MAKE THE EGG WASH
1. To make the egg wash, whisk together the egg and water and set aside.
MAKE THE DANISH
1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Roll out 2 sheets of puff pastry and punch out large hearts, as many as you can.
2. Use a knife to make an indentation slightly smaller than the big heart. Cut out all around but do not cut all the way through.
3. Poke inside of smaller heart with fork
4. Brush the edges of each heart with the egg wash.
5. Add the cheese filling to the center and spread just to the edges of the smaller heart.
6. Top it off with the fruit and add a sprinkle of granulated sugar around the edges.
7. Bake in the oven for 14 to 16 minutes or until golden.
8. Allow to cool
9. While the danishes cool, prepare the glaze. In a medium bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, vanilla, and 1 tablespoon milk.
10. Drizzle the glaze over the top of the danishes. Let the glaze set for a few minutes.
11. Enjoy!
