homemade Chicken Chow Mein

Cook chow mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add sliced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed and sauté onion and garlic until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
Add bell pepper, shredded cabbage, and julienned carrot to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, or until vegetables are tender-crisp.
Return cooked chicken to the skillet. Add cooked chow mein noodles.
In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Pour over the chicken and vegetable mixture. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
